Madeira Island

Madeira Island is located in the North Atlantic Ocean and was discovered in 1419 by Portuguese sailors who named her after it’s dense laurel forest as: “Island of Woods”.
Only at 600 kilometres from the coast of Morocco the island has a wonderful subtropical climate and breathing scenery. Volcanic in nature and blessed with sheer cliffs, with verdant massive mountains, lush forests and delightful flower gardens.
Also known as ‘the floating garden’ or ‘Pearl of the Atlantic’ for it's luxurious blue skies and sea and its imposing valleys and mountains with spectacular tops sometimes shrouded in mist, a micro-climate all of their own where plant life is abundantly diverse.
